We needed a small crib for a small space and so happy I found it here. This crib fits perfectly in an odd corner of our room. It was easy to put together and very sturdy. The mattress was purchased separately, DaVinci Crescent 50 Coil Mini Crib Mattress, which is about 5″ thick. When I opened the box it stated not to exceed a mattress over 3″. I called Nursery Smart and was told the reason why was because the crib is already short as it is and once the baby can stand on it’s own he could fall over. We tested the mattress and it fit perfectly with no spaces or gaps on the sides. We set it to the lowest setting and found the height not to be a problem. Our son will move on to a toddler bed by that time.
We are very happy with our purchase and the service and care we received over the phone. The only cons about it all is the screws are very visible on the front side. They look very industrial on a smooth, curvy, and elegant surface. I wouldn’t mind using nubs that you can push into the holes to cover the screws and we found that it scratches easily but not to much of a big deal.
